What is it?

Correct diagnosis, meticulous treatment planning and precise prescriptions by a highly trained specialist orthodontist makes all the difference in creating an outstanding result in any clear aligner treatment. Invisalign® treatment uses a series of near invisible, custom-made aligners. These straighten, and gradually move teeth into the desired position without the need for traditional metal wires or brackets. The flexible clear aligners are removable; allowing you to eat completely normally and maintain oral health.

With Invisalign® there’s no need for messy moulds to be taken. We use the iTero scanner, which gives us an accurate 3D scan of your teeth and gums. After an in-depth diagnosis and consent process, our specialist orthodontist will create a treatment plan and then prescribe a series of individual tooth movements to create a Clincheck. Using state-of-the-art technology alongside 3D computer imaging software we can make a digital reconstruction of your treatment from start to finish.

Invisalign® treatment is suitable for both adults and teens with treatments designed for all lifestyles. With the option of Invisalign treatment you won’t even have to visit us as often!

Bespoke treatment can help to avoid moving certain teeth, especially with short roots or if a tooth has reduced bone support. This means that whilst some braces wouldn’t be suitable, Invisalign® enables us to treat the previously “untreatable” cases.

How it works

After an in depth diagnosis and consent process, our specialist orthodontist will create a bespoke treatment plan and prescribe a series of individual tooth movements.

The process of aligner customisation is computerised and aligner fabrication is laboratory based.

Our Orthodontists may also design discreet attachments on your teeth which makes a big difference in the final treatment outcome. It also involves meticulous planning between our Specialist orthodontist and Invisalign® technicians. Our Specialist orthodontist prescribes the specific movements, to correct your problem and a series of aligners are manufactured and delivered to our practice.

Each aligner in the series expresses a small, programmed movement that has been designed by your orthodontist. You will need to wear each aligner for about 1-2 weeks before you replace it with the next aligners in the series for this movement. This makes movement reliable and helps the next aligner to be comfortable. These custom-made aligners will move your teeth bit by bit into the planned position. Our orthodontist will monitor teeth movements all through the process and if needed intervene and modify prescriptions and provide a new set of aligners.

Digitally Designed Orthodontics

The iTero Scanner

At Bright Orthodontics, we use iTero scanner to digitally capture the structure of the teeth and gums of our patients using the latest optical technology. The scanner is a compact, hand-held wand that our orthodontic nurses and treatment coordinators use to take a 3D scan of your mouth.

Our specialist orthodontists use the scans to analyse how your teeth look and interact with each other in three different planes of space. This 3D scan helps our orthodontists devise treatment plans and make bespoke appliances for our patients.

You are unique and so are your teeth and gums. The iTero scanner helps you to see a simulation of how your smile can change with orthodontic treatment.

Before starting treatment, our patients can see a 3D simulation of how their teeth will look after they have straightened their teeth.
No mess, no stress! We don’t need to take messy impressions at Bright Orthodontics. This helps all our patients and especially our patients who have a gag reflex. In all our years of experience, we don't know of any patients who enjoy getting impressions done the traditional way!

Being an adult getting braces can be an anxious time and it has been for me. I have seen other orthodontists before and never felt comfortable or supported. Finding Bright Orthodontics has been life changing for me. I have been supported through every step of the process. Things have been broken down, no questions where stupid questions and most of all my anxiety has been reduced in this. I would never have been brave enough to take the plunge without finding the right practice and for me I cannot thank the team enough as this will be life changing for me at the end of the process as I have always hated my teeth and hide them. From video calls, visits, photographs, scans and consultations the practice really cannot be more thorough.
